Fran has worked for 20yrs in Bristol as a Youth and Community Worker in many different settings such as; young homelessness, young mothers, girls and young women travellers, mentoring in schools, managing a mentoring project for newly arrived bilingual families, volunteer coordinating for a couple of voluntary organisations and volunteering herself to mentor refugees and asylum seekers. Fran is acutely aware that rural settings are less diverse than cities and is committed to creating opportunities for people from different ethnicities to be able to visit or live in the countryside and feel welcome and comfortable in doing so.

She has recently moved to the Forest of Dean. She is passionate about the importance of the creative process for people to be able to connect to this innate human experience and improve their wellbeing. She is excited to be joining the team at the Rewild Project and to have the opportunity to be part of such an inspiring team and project.

Fran moved to the Forest to be able to live in nature and enjoy all the benefits this brings. She is also a trained Nutritional Therapist and loves to grow food and spend time with the soil, learning and developing her skills in the no dig method and encouraging wildlife into her garden.
