Emma is passionate about building positive mental health from the start of life by supporting families, and building communities that have a deep connection to nature and the land, she believes in returning to a simpler more connected way of life, and that radical solutions are needed fast.

Since becoming a mum 12 years ago she has grown increasingly frustrated with the lack of community support, and the segregation in society.  She has spent over 10 years immersed in the world of maternity and birth, campaigning for changes and working with families in various forms.

Emma’s skills are in project management, Waldorf Education, traditional textiles handicrafts, health, wellbeing, and community support.  She is self employed as a Pregnancy, Birth and Postnatal Yoga Teacher and Doula.

She was a Director and Project Manager at Manchester Steiner School Project, successfully seeing the project through fundraising, setup, and OFSTED registration and her 2 children attended for a number of years.  She also ran a successful CIC Parent Support group working with local families and health care professionals for 8 years, was previously chair of her National Childbirth Trust Branch, and has a degree in Adult Education.

Since 2015 she has been researching regenerative land management practices, and in late 2017 finally made the leap into the unknown, packing her belongings into storage and leaving behind her house in Manchester and setting off with her 2 young boys to travel, network and make the dream of living in a land based community a reality.

Emma has many practical skills such as timber framing, outdoor and off-grid living and eco-building. She lived in a bender in Pembrokeshire for over a year as a single parent with 2 young children, and during the first lockdown squatted a disused woodland roundhouse, with community support and hosted a variety of people escaping from family situations in Cities and Towns.

Emma is working with the Rewild team to develop the Ancestral Health and Wellbeing programme, support the grants and funding bids, communications, admin and business planning.
